Our Board of Directors provides strategic leadership and oversight for the corporation. The Board sets the longterm direction of the Community Forest, approves key policies and budgets, and ensures responsible stewardship of the forest and its resources. Directors work closely with the General Manager to support transparent, accountable operations while leaving day-to-day management to staff. As representatives of the community, the Board’s role is to guide the corporation in a way that balances sustainability, community benefit, and sound financial management.

Strategic Plan

The strategic plan is a document that guides the work of the Board. It outlines the values that inform the Board’s decision-making, establishes the objectives the Community Forest aims to achieve, and sets priorities for pursuing those objectives. Developed in collaboration with the General Manager and approved by the Board, the plan is drafted for a five-year term but is regularly reviewed and updated to adapt to changing conditions during this period.
