The Wells Gray Community Forest Society (“Society”) conducted a community survey to garner an understanding of what citizens of Thompson Nicola Regional District (TNRD) Area A and District of Clearwater would envision for a legacy project (legacy project being “a community project that has a long-lasting impact” on these communities and their citizens.)
The survey went live on May 22, 2025 and closed on June 21, 2025. The survey was distributed through various mediums, such as:

Facebook posts on Wells Gray Community Forest
Vavenby, Birch Island and Clearwater Information Board
Paper surveys were available at DLCC
Society members attended and distributed paper surveys at Farmer’s Market on May 24, Elks Breakfast on June 7, and distributed the survey by email to several community groups
During that process we received 79 responses and have complied the results outlined below in the WGCF Society Survey Analysis Report (Sept 2025).
The Society has reopened the survey in order to provide citizens an opportunity complete the survey in the event it was missed during the first round of input.
The Society has completed the first round of input from the communities in TNRD Area A and District of Clearwater and have provided a link to the results. We recognize that citizens may have missed the opportunity to provide their input. Therefore, we have opened the survey to provide those who may not have responded an opportunity – the survey is now open and will close for input on November 30, 2025. We encourage you to share the links below.
